24 Members Trained and Equipped for Evangelism in Wales :: Adventist Church in UK and Ireland
This year started with great pomp and ceremony as January 1 rang out. But within two months that joy and euphoria was short-lived as the United Kingdom and the whole world experienced a darkness that came over it in the form of Covid-19. Nobody expected it to last as long as it has, nobody experienced anything like it. No one could imagine the devastation and the effect it would have upon the UK and the rest of the world.

But despite all suffering and gloom, a ray of light and hope was born. For the first in its history, the Welsh Mission (WM) under the stewardship of WM President Pastor Emanuel Bran and Personal Ministries Leader Pastor Adriana Fodor, they planned and engaged to open up the first ever School of Evangelism in Wales.

Over 24 individuals from the North, South, East and West of Wales came together online each Sunday to engage and be equipped with all the necessary tools in order to take the good news of the saving grace of Jesus Christ to the Welsh Mission residents. After three months, highlighting the fact that as it is written in Matthew and Luke, “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” This text under the tutelage of Pastor Fodor has allowed the Welsh Mission to gain 24 more workers fully equipped and armed with the Word of God ready to go out into the mission field. So, in 2021 the Welsh Mission will be rolling out the GROW programme, where these workers among many others will plant the seeds, awaiting the return of the Messiah to reap a mighty harvest. Next year we shall also be starting another School of Evangelism training and welcome many more students who would like to be equipped to do the Lord’s work.
