11th January 2018

The Lord will guide you continually, watering your life when you are dry and keeping you healthy, too. You will be like a well-watered garden like an ever-flowing spring.“,sans-serif;>

Isaiah 58:11 NLT“,sans-serif;>

What a wonderful promise of restoration Isaiah 58:11 presents for our well-being.

If 2017 was a year of emotional bruising, spiritual dryness, physical decline, financial deficits, social droughts, then, cheer up and look to our great God who is able to restore and repackaged your life. He is our wholistic life consultant who has the prescription for our total well-being.

Sabbath 13January 2018 has been designated Health Ministries Day. What better way to start the New Year than with the reassuring promise Isaiah 58:11 presents? Embrace this scripture as a reminder of God’s sustaining power – whatever lies ahead. He is the life-giving water for body, mind and spirit – an oasis in life’s desert experiences. Let Him repackage your life.

As we embrace Isaiah’s promise, I’d like to share some health gems to help keep us focused on our well-being throughout 2018.

Emotional health

E G White in the book Mind, Character and Personality vol.2 p 403 states: “A person whose mindis quiet and satisfied in God is in the pathway to health.” Interestingly, The Mental Health Foundation published a report in 2006 which demonstrated the positive mental health outcomes in individuals whose faith was active.

Action – to encourage emotional resilience:

·  Commence a gratitude journal giving thanks to God for all He has done and is doing for you

·  Pray for a positive mindset

·  Recite scriptures on faith, hope and trust in God

·  Ask God for wisdom to balance each aspect of your life so you don’t feel overwhelmed
