The Seventh-day Adventist Church around the world is calling on all church members to join its 100 Days of Prayers beginning March 27 to July 4, 2020. The prayer initiative initiated by the General Conference Revival and Reformation Committee, was originally intended to focus on praying for the 2020 General Conference Session for June. However, since the session has been postponed for next year, the focus has now shifted to praying for the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to be poured out on the church, to empower members for mission during this time of the pandemic crisis.
As social distancing is prevalent around the world today, the church must press together, united in prayer, to seek God’s strength and power, Adventist world church leaders said.
“We will continue to pray for the Holy Spirit outpouring on our lives, our church, and on our leaders,” said Pastor Ted N.C. Wilson, president of the Adventist world church in a letter. “In addition, we will also be praying for all the people infected with COVID-19 or who have loved ones suffering. We will be praying for those struggling in isolation, for wisdom for our government leaders, and for the advancement of the mission of our church in these challenging times.” (To read the letter, click HERE)
