Adventist receives medal from Solomons Governor General

Pastor George Fafale receives his medal from Solomon Islands Governor General Frank Kabui.

An Adventist pastor was one of 10 people to receive a medal from Solomon Islands Governor General Frank Kabui during the country’s celebration of 40 years of independence.

Pastor George Fafale, senior pastor of Kukum Adventist Church, was awarded the Service to Solomon Islands medal for his long and dedicated service to the Solomons people in the area of religion. His immediate family and some extended family members were present at the event, held at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara, the country’s capital.

“The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Solomon Islands joins the nation in congratulating Pastor Fafale for his distinguished service to the cause of God,” said Dr Silent Tovosia, president of the Solomon Islands mission.
