Ben Carson shares his views on abortion and pro life

Adventist Neurosurgeon Doctor Ben Carson once again joined the NBC news team on Monday the 26th to share his views on not only the upcoming U.S Elections but also the often spoken subject of abortion and his pro life stance. Abortion is a polarizing topic with many religious groups against it whilst non religious groups for it.  When asked whether a life begins at conception Ben Carson quickly stated yes.  When asked if the mother should have the right to terminate he quickly said no.  “In the ideal situation
the mother should not believe that the baby is her enemy and should not be
looking to terminate the baby. You know things are set up in such a way that the
person in the world who has the greatest interest in protecting the baby is the
mother.  We’ve allowed purveyors of the vision to make Mothers’s think that that
baby is their enemy and that they have a right to kill it can you see how
perverted that line of thinking is?.” Carson said.   He was then asked. What if somebody has an unwanted pregnancy should they have the right to terminate?.  He quickly once again said no. “During slavery a lot of the slave owners thought that they had the right to do whatever they want it to to that slave, anything that they chose to do and what if the abolitionists had said you know I don’t believe in slavery. I think it’s wrong but you guys do whatever you want to?”  He agreed that in extreme and rare circumstances abortion was an option and stated, I’m a reasonable person, if people can come up with a reasonable explanation of why they would like to kill a baby I’ll  listen. He further stated that rape and incest were not reasons to terminate a pregnancy especially in light of the many people who have been born of rape or incest and gone on to have very useful lives.
