Operation Food for Life’s (OFFL) expansion plans at their Born Free Sanctuary in Papua New Guinea are “well on their way”.
As part of their latest initiative, the organisation has been working towards building a new dormitory for boys along with a commercial kitchen.
These plans are currently under development.
“It has taken many prayers over a long period of time to have these much-needed facilities,” OFFL co-founder Dennis Perry said.
“This will completely transform our ability to cater and accommodate more children and youth we rescue from harm’s way.”
The boys’ dormitory is being upgraded to a 20-bed residence with bathroom facilities. The wall panelling was installed earlier this month and this week the building’s roof was added.
“We are deeply humbled by God’s leading and blessings, the support of our donors and prayer warriors and partners, from who all our blessings flow and made this dream possible,” Mr Perry said.
OFFL has been supporting underprivileged communities in Papua New Guinea for more than 25 years, offering food, clothing, education, healthcare and other vital assistance.
